Poem – Echoes (By Chanacee Ruth-Killgore)

Echoes

Sometimes…

laughter echoes,

hollow,

haunting and mean.

Mocking memories

and gnawing away

at the mangled pieces

left behind.

Raw, aching moments past,

their humor lost.

The memory though

still too near.
