Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. Our definition of simultaneous submissions are those that are sent at the same time to multiple potential publishers, e.g., I send my story to you and also to three other journals in the hopes that one will publish it, then cancel my submission with the others if one does accept it. We will always do our best to acknowledge such requests in a timely manner.
We also accept reprints. Our definition of reprints are your own original works that have already been published before and that you are submitting to a new market in the hopes of publishing them again, e.g., my piece was published in a print journal two years ago and now I want to submit it to you for publication.
Interested in being a contributor to our website? In addition to artistic works, we also accept original news article submissions for recent, upcoming, and historical events. News article submission can be written (min 300 words) and include an accompanying image that the author has permission to use, or video which includes an on-screen reporter or narration (min 2 minutes – max 5 minutes).
Most accepted article topics are Antarctica news/life/exploration, world and local environmental issues, science, space exploration, Mars, health, inspiring interviews, odd/crazy/funny/unbelievable news, and horrific things being done to people or the planet. We also accept G-rated cartoon submissions on any topic.
All submissions must be original works. Credit for content and photography will be given on all published articles when included with the submission. All submissions are subject to proofreading, editing, redaction of unverifiable info by Antarctica Journal staff before publishing.
If you would like to submit your article of 300 words or more and you feel that your article fits into the genre of our publication, please submit to email@example.com and your work could be published on our website.
Please note that by submitting your work for publication, you are granting Antarctica Journal unrestricted rights to publish the submitted work within the complete realm of the AntarcticaJournal.com website and/or any publication in relation therein. By submitting an article for publication, you are attesting that the submitted content is original and that you have full rights to submit the work for publication. Full credit will be given to the contributing author on the published article page. This is a great way for upcoming journalists and writers to build their resume of published works.
We look forward to hearing from you.
